Hello everyone,
We have finally received our initial preliminary drawings and are currently reviewing them in detail. Overall, everything fits our needs so far, except for the kitchen.
As shown on the plan, we are currently quite unhappy with it – in my opinion, there is very little space for tall cabinets, and the distance from one side to the other is quite long. The location of the stove on the plan also doesn’t make sense. The problem is that right now, we don’t have a complete wall without any interruptions.
At the moment, we are considering whether to
1) remove the door from the hallway to the kitchen
2) move the door all the way to the left or right
3) omit (reluctantly) or at least reduce or shift a window
4) make the opening to the living room smaller (a sliding door is planned there)
My dream would actually be to have a small bar counter with 1-2 seats. However, I find it hard to imagine this fitting into the current floor plan.
Do you perhaps have some ideas or tips for us? Also happy to hear feedback on the rest of the ground floor.
Thanks in advance!

A counter won’t help here.
This is not a bad concept, it’s no concept at all!

We had a similar issue and decided to leave out the door to the hallway.
Do you want a closed kitchen? Otherwise, you could widen the passage and leave about 70cm (28 inches) on each side, placing an island in the middle with a counter extending from the dining area.
Good luck

Leave out the window above the sink since you will have trouble with the faucet there anyway 😉, move the stove to the right front side, put the pull-out pantry cabinet and refrigerator where the stove is now....counter...our counter is on the left side of the kitchen where you have the short wall 🙂
