Hello,

Yesterday, while drilling to hang a painting, I realized that the developer built a wall entirely out of solid Lego bricks in a load-bearing construction!

Is this considered a defect that I can address?

Thank you very much!

I called the site manager, and he said everything is fine. Apparently, our son selected the bricks back then and filled out a consultation report.

It looks like we won’t be able to get out of this easily…

If it’s just one wall,... in Legoland, there are entire houses made of Lego 😉

The advantage is that you can easily extend or renovate the building if needed.

Just checked. Happened to have an axe ready, looked behind three walls quickly.

No wood.

No Lego.

Fischertechnik. They used Fischertechnik with me.
That’s why the windows rattle so much in the wind.

Well, no point getting upset over small details. I’ll just fill the walls again and repaint.

😎

Next week I’m extending the house by 2 by 3 meters (6.5 by 10 feet), already ordered a kit on Amazon.

Will the extension be functional? Like folding the ceiling up on nice days or something similar?

Well, with this new construction method, you can achieve a lot at a low cost.

On the left side of the terrace, I wanted to build a small hot tub and a sauna.
The hot tub is made of Lego, so it has to be very durable.
For the sauna, I’m using the floor slabs that I originally planned for the separate terrace, but I won’t be able to realize that until 2017 because of my broken leg. The sauna will be heated with four hair dryers, which, according to my sauna load calculations, is more than sufficient.

On the right side of the terrace will be the "I Fish Conservatory," which of course features a movable roof.

All of this can be built for 1,917.18 – and even without a building permit / planning permission.

Today is inspiring everyone.
