Hello everyone,
as the question suggests, I find it surprising that IKEA kitchens are quite affordable. How is the workmanship, meaning the quality? And what about the IKEA hinges? Do IKEA kitchens last a long time?
Best regards

We can also exchange parts later if needed, and accessories are easy and affordable to get. The 25-year warranty and hassle-free service if something breaks are also important factors not to be overlooked.
Anyone who has assembled an IKEA kitchen before knows it’s not complicated and can be done in 1-2 days.

Calculated over a service life of 20-40 years, and considering the affordable but water-sensitive material, chipboard/MDF kitchens are quite expensive. There are plenty of alternatives made from steel or stainless steel that cost only slightly more upfront and last a lifetime.

But after 15 years, I think it’s fair to want a fresh change.
That said, I’m curious—what are some alternatives that aren’t much more expensive?
