I am new to this forum and very impressed by the helpfulness!
We have reserved a plot of land and are now considering how to use it effectively. At least the zoning plan meets our expectations, but we are still unsure how to position the garage and the house on the property.
I have attached a suitable image. North is at the top, and the main entrance should be located there as well. The numbers indicate the width and length. Unit – meters (feet).
If I place the garage next to the house, the driveway is relatively long. Do you have any other suggestions?

I assume this is about an urban villa?
In that case, I would definitely position the entrance nicely centered facing the street with a small front courtyard. Place the garage on the north side, possibly oriented toward the entrance, so the driveway leads to the garage from the south.
A classic layout: kitchen in the southeast, living room on the west, and utility rooms on the north side.

Thank you very much for your response. We are not planning a townhouse, but a detached single-family house with a staggered shed roof.
At the moment, we are leaning towards a "classic" floor plan. The entrance is centered on the north side, with a manageable hallway and evenly distributed rooms.
This results in the following layout: northeast kitchen, south living and dining room, utility rooms to the north. Is this still acceptable?
However, the entrance in our "dream house" must be almost on the north side. Having a garage in front of the house (with driveway and street access on the east side) probably doesn’t make much sense.
Would it be possible to place the garage in the basement?

With your sketch and the mainstream idea of building an urban villa, it would have really fit well.
Now you tell us that you are building my favorite roof style... And that really hits my passion.
Is that a standard floor plan from the company?
I would orient the house the same way; the best side belongs at the front. But why is an entrance on the north side compulsory now???

This is a standard floor plan that can be modified, with the kitchen intended to be in a separate room. The kitchen and dining area would block an entrance on the east side (floor plan above). Or which layout combination did you have in mind?
With this floor plan, it could work, but we would need to make a compromise.
