Hello,
we want to install a central ventilation system (mechanical ventilation with heat recovery) and are currently looking into different manufacturers. However, the market is quite confusing, so I am interested in hearing about your experiences with various brands.
I would find app control quite useful. It’s not a must-have, but it would be nice. Ultimately, functionality, ease of cleaning, reliability, and electricity consumption should be the main priorities.
Do you have any tips on what we should definitely pay attention to during installation?

Hi Nordanney
Could you please share the contact details of the heating contractor with me (a private message is fine)? That price is so much lower than any quotes I’m getting here (Nuremberg) that it would definitely be worth it even considering travel and accommodation costs...
Thank you and best regards,
Andreas

We didn’t do anything ourselves. The system cost around €10,000 (approximately $10,000) for roughly 300m² (3,229 sq ft) of floor area. It was installed by our heating contractor.

Actually, it doesn’t really matter what you buy and have installed; the units are 90% identical... The remaining 10% probably comes down to filter replacements and filter costs, right?

What matters is that the installer knows the system and understands the best way to install everything in the house. That’s true.Bieber0815 schrieb:

And while you’re at it: were your expectations met with a ventilation system? In other words, would you spend the money on it again? We have a Pluggit Avent P310.
I’m extremely satisfied.
I would definitely install a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery in a new build again. The money is well spent – it improves living comfort.
My wife has significantly fewer allergy problems at home compared to our old apartment.
Best regards,
Thorsten

Watcher7816 Mar 2016 10:58Quick question for those with mechanical ventilation systems: where are your supply or exhaust air ducts located? In our case, they are in the basement, on the ground floor in the ceiling, and in the attic, due to the wooden ceiling, in the wall. Is it the same for you?
