Hello everyone,

we have received the draft design for our house from the builder. The gross floor areas (with a 1m (3.3 ft) knee wall) of the children’s rooms are 14m² (150 sq ft), and the master bedroom is 16m² (172 sq ft).

Is that sufficient? Somehow, I can’t really picture it and am feeling uncertain.

Thank you very much for your help!

Unfortunately, I don’t like either layout.

I find the T-shaped solution too cramped, and the other option with the shower in front of the window ... there’s no way a shower door would fit there.

Therefore, I refer to my previous post, meaning you should first properly arrange the rooms and then design the bathroom.

What exactly do you mean by distributing?
Since I don't want to sacrifice a larger room for a bathroom, this room has to become the bathroom.

I also noticed the issue with the shower...
I have created a third design.

2D bathroom floor plan with bathtub along the top wall, shower on the left, sink on the right, toilet bottom right

Modern bathroom with shower cabin, bathtub, toilet, and wooden double vanity.

Modern 3D bathroom design: bathtub, shower, double vanity, toilet, wooden floor.

I mean something like this:

Floor plan of a house: central hallway, child’s room 1 on the left, guest/ironing room on the right, bathroom at the top.

... and of course, slightly adjust the windows on the right and left sides of the plan so that the 60 cm (24 inches) cabinets fit there. It’s best to allow for 65 to 67 cm (26 to 26.5 inches).

But I already wrote that in post 16.

Hello Millani.

I would not place the toilet directly under or right next to the window.

Personally, I find T-shaped layouts in bathrooms quite nice to look at and sometimes even practical (intimate area), but in your case, the room size is missing.
With the 10m2 (108 sq ft), you are already making the bathroom, which is not very large to begin with, look even smaller.
Another disadvantage is the natural light, which suffers because of the T layout.

Good luck.
