We have our kitchen mostly finished, and our kitchen planner recommended AEG appliances.
Since I have never dealt with the technology and features of kitchen appliances before, I’m hoping to hear some experiences here.

The planned appliances are:
- AEG induction cooktop 60 cm (24 inches) HKM 65400 X-B
- AEG dishwasher 60 cm (24 inches) FAVORIT 55310 Vl0
- AEG compact solo steam oven KT8403101M
- AEG built-in oven COMPETENCE BE7004101M

I will be looking into these myself in the coming days, but maybe some of you already have experience with these devices (or their predecessors).

I’m interested to know if there have been any issues with the appliances or if you would recommend something else for a similar price.

We also have a few AEG appliances and cannot report any negative experiences (which is not something you can say about every brand).

I have an AEG 90cm (35 inch) induction cooktop and oven, and I am very satisfied with both. I have never had any issues with the touch controls, not even with damp fingers. I am impressed by the maximum power; you turn it on and after just 2 seconds, it’s already bubbling on the bottom of the pot. I would especially recommend a 90cm (35 inch) cooktop for families, as it can accommodate several pans and pots at the same time. Once you have used a wider cooktop, you can’t imagine going back to a 60cm (24 inch) one.

Our touch response is neither slow nor have I experienced any issues with wet hands.

Well... I can only share the feedback I receive. On the other hand, who is constantly handling cooking with wet hands?

Still, I find the twist pad more comfortable, but there it is again—ask 10 people......

I also thought it was cool, but at friends’ places it ended up looking worn out after a while, and kids like to play around with these things too – and then suddenly it’s gone.

Additionally, the units were a bit more expensive, and I believe I couldn’t find a very small single cooking zone back then.

Since a steam oven will also be chosen, a 60cm (24 inches) cooktop should be sufficient. This allows you to cook all the vegetables there in a convenient and healthier way, without needing to use the stove.

We have AEG appliances for the built-in units and chose Neff for the oven and steam oven because of the aesthetics, and we are very satisfied. Our cooktop does not have that twistpad? feature—which beeps frequently—but I guess that’s just modern induction technology?!
