My girlfriend and I want to build a bungalow, but we don’t know how the process works here in Germany and what all the costs are. We have only been living in Germany for a few months!
We want to do the following ourselves:
- Windows
- Interior and exterior doors
- Tiles
- Kitchen and bathroom
- And all other small tasks
We will get all of this free from family.
The rest will be done by professionals.
The bungalow should be 120 square meters (1,292 square feet) with an 80 square meter (861 square feet) attic, underfloor heating for 120 square meters (1,292 square feet), white brick cladding, and a chimney for a fireplace.
I already have the plot of land!
What would be the approximate cost of the bungalow up to the point where we start doing the work ourselves?
I would like to get information here first before I begin!
Sorry for my language!
Best regards

The bungalow is supposed to be 120 sqm (1,290 sq ft) with an 80 sqm (860 sq ft) atticThat would hardly be a bungalow anymore, since the attic is too large.
You need to check the zoning plan for your plot: it contains all the rules about what is allowed and what is not regarding the house.
