Hello,
Has anyone here installed vinyl flooring themselves, and if so, how did it go?
We want to install vinyl planks in our house and have already chosen them. I will contact the seller again soon, but I would be happy to read some personal experiences here!

The more wood content or other natural "ingredients" you include, the more likely you will face the same issues we have, especially with a new build.
For underfloor heating, I wouldn’t recommend the option you chose. How is the heat supposed to come through the floor if you insulate from underneath?
True. There are better options. But with what? Tiles? If a pot falls, you have broken tiles. Hardwood? Do you have pets? Hardwood in the kitchen... well. Whether the floor is too sensitive or not can be debated.
Hard to install? Who said that? Vinyl is installed like hardwood or laminate, if it’s supposed to be a floating floor.
Scratches... show me a floor, other than carpet, that doesn’t get scratched over time.
By the way, our vinyl is from the first generation of vinyl flooring containing natural ingredients.
Things not going as planned can happen.

let’s sum it up!
- harder to install
- came loose in less than a year
- it already has scratches
so, there are better options.

domus201622 Dec 2015 19:25We installed Meister vinyl flooring floating over tiles in the kitchen and are very satisfied with it. Upstairs in the children's rooms, there is cork flooring – in my opinion, vinyl is more durable. Both are warm underfoot. Almost the entire new house will have this vinyl flooring, except for the bathrooms, kitchen, and hallway.
