Hello,

Has anyone here installed vinyl flooring themselves, and if so, how did it go?

We want to install vinyl planks in our house and have already chosen them. I will contact the seller again soon, but I would be happy to read some personal experiences here!

We have not received it in writing yet, but there is a voice message on our answering machine. We are getting a new floor.

On the sides, you can clearly see a gap of about 6 mm (0.24 inches). We had the kitchen floor installed directly on the subfloor. The issue only occurred where the patio door is located. Also, I found the clicking and installation process noticeably more difficult compared to laying standard laminate flooring upstairs.

The floor feels warm underfoot, and it definitely does not smell. Unfortunately, there are already a few scratches around the dining table despite using fleece pads under the chair legs.

Otherwise, I can recommend the floor. After winter, I plan to take the rows apart and reinstall them.

What exactly is recommended about this?

Let's summarize:

- More difficult to install
- It starts to come apart in less than a year
- Scratches are already visible

So, this can be done better.

Can anyone recommend a good manufacturer of vinyl click parquet flooring that constructs the floor with cork as impact sound insulation, an HDF core layer, another cork layer, and finally the vinyl layer on top? I don’t want a full vinyl floor but one built as described above!

Best regards
