Hello,
we are considering installing wood-look tiles in our house (which is quite modern and open). I think these tiles, when well made, look really nice. I am just a bit skeptical whether I will still like them in a few years. Does anyone know a good manufacturer of wood-look tiles?

Floor surface temperature in winter is around 24 degrees Celsius (75°F) (the room temperature too, and yes, that is quite warm, but my wife still finds 24 degrees Celsius (75°F) too low!).
We walk barefoot and the tiles feel warm to us!
I think this varies from person to person!
In the utility room, I only have about 18 degrees Celsius (64°F) surface temperature, and that feels cold.

There are various natural stones available for wood-inspired designs, ranging from petrified wood, quartzite, and brown sintered stones (Onyx) to limestone, travertine, and sandstone. These natural stones are available in large formats and are primarily used in high-end applications. Level-access shower trays made from a single piece meet the highest quality standards. Bathtubs and basins made from the same material are also possible. Flooring, walls, and bathtubs can be heated if desired. With today’s options for different heating systems and controls, this can be achieved at a reasonable cost. Bathrooms and showers, in particular, should be easy to clean. Therefore, I recommend minimizing the use of mineral-based grout as much as possible.

The production and installation of terrazzo shower trays should only be carried out by experienced specialists in this field. Terrazzo may develop cracks (microcracks are acceptable to a certain extent).

But with a price of 800-1000 euros for a terrazzo shower tray (and that was for the small children's bathroom – with a length of over 2 meters (6.5 feet) in our case, the costs would have been much higher), we ultimately decided against this exclusive item. Stylish, but quite expensive...

Terrazzo has always been costly. For natural stone, the type of installation is very important. One of the most economical functional solutions is a natural stone slab installed with a slope towards a drainage channel, with side-upturned edges glued on as a transition to the wall coverings and the shower door.
You will be surprised how affordable this can be. Make sure to have a professionally installed floor structure.

That sounds strange to me. Stone that feels like stone but looks like wood

As a car mechanic, you should encounter this regularly. Dashboards that look like leather but are actually made of plastic. It’s just a matter of combining the appearance of one material with the benefits of another.
