Hello dear forum,

Without a long introduction, I would like to present the design of a single-family house with a floor plan measuring 14 m x 9 m (46 ft x 30 ft) and would appreciate some opinions, suggestions, and improvement ideas. The living and dining area is intended to be the central focus of the house.

Enjoy looking at the 3D images and the floor plan :-)

For your information:
In the images of the living area, the staircase is only roughly indicated (2 steps) because I wasn’t sure how to create it in the software... ;-)
Also, I attached two versions of the living area: one with a "straight" door to the hallway and one with a "angled" door to the hallway...

Dimensions would be very helpful to better assess the whole situation.

Hello, attached is the floor plan with dimensions.
If you need any additional information, just ask 😉

The dining area is a real headache. When the oven is on, you end up with a roast chicken at the table after just 30 minutes. The space isn’t wide enough, unless you really want a tiny table. But that doesn’t fit with the rest of the house.

The kitchen is extremely impractical, unless musical chairs is your favorite game.

The utility room is 50% unusable. Windows??? What for? What equipment are you supposed to put in there? Buffer tank? Heating system? Electricity meter? Circuit breakers? It’s going to be very cramped.

Unfortunately, the upper floor is missing, so my assessment ends here.

Hi, I would orient the table and fireplace differently, lengthwise along the terrace. That way, you avoid the "space problem," even though you have over 60m² (645 sq ft). Otherwise, I don’t think it’s bad. Overall, I personally think such a large entrance hall is unnecessary. I really like the many windows, though!

By the way, which software did you use for this?

A dream would now be the upper floor.
In the bathroom, you might accidentally hit your knee on the door when trying to leave after washing your hands.
Other than that, everything that Toxi said.
