Hello everyone,

I would like to create a house design. Which software would you recommend?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards

The foundation of our planning is the floor plan of a model house that we really liked. Of course, we need to make some adjustments. This way, we already have a clear idea of how our house might look.

My comment was actually referring to wastl’s post; I just forgot to quote it.

No need to apologize, it’s "your" thread anyway 😉. I should be the one to apologize 😉

"Making small changes" rarely works... but you will gain that experience eventually ;-)
Sweet Home 3D is sufficient for some casual experimenting.

A few months ago, we purchased a very nice program that we find easy to use. It is called "Home Designer Suite 2015."

It helps us a lot. We often work on our design for a while, then put it aside for a few weeks, and later return to it with new ideas. I can really recommend it!

I use "Room Arranger" for 3D visualization. It feels like the fastest way to make progress. Although you can’t render 3D images, you can apply textures to objects.

For objects not available in the library, you can combine different 3D objects quite well. This is much quicker than having to create a 3D model in a separate program first.
